Porcelain veneers are thin laminates of porcelain which are fitted over conservatively prepared teeth. They are made in the laboratory to the prescription of the dentist using impressions taken of the mouth. They are then firmly bonded to the teeth and can effectively cover discoloured, chipped or worn teeth. They can also be used to disguise unsightly gaps.
They are strong and durable, and if well looked after, can be long-lasting. |
